Navajos Creep Me in They Teepees
Navajos Creep Me in They Teepees

Lightjet on Aluminum  40"x30"  2008

April Banks and Amanda Williams collaborated on this photographic diptych—a dialogue about the prevalence of double entendres in rap music/popular culture. The title of the work, One More Chance (Remix), a line from rapper Biggie Smalls' song, was specifically chosen as a point of creative departure because of its simultaneously offensive and seductive nature.

The body becomes landscape and the landscape becomes body; a destination to be "crept" into and exposed.
