Fourth Generation (Valley Street)
Fourth Generation (Valley Street)

Encaustic over photo transfer on wood panel  (7) 5x7,  2015

Built in the 1930s, the family house for four generations, now sits empty. As the house deteriorates it becomes more of an impression— the physical becomes ephemeral. By relying on memory and imagination little information is needed to define the image. It’s emptiness conveys the fading and loss over time.
