Tea Afar \\ travel stories made with tea \\
An intimate evening of vicarious travel and delicious tea: three storytellers, one tea master, small eats, travel photography, and curated music—all from one country. Full-sensory, unpredictable conversation, one time only, undocumented.
Most of the world drinks tea. This we have in common. It is an offering of hospitality, of welcome. It is warm, it is energy, it is tradition, it is ceremony, and it is universal. Tea Afar celebrates the richness in cultural differences. Though the ritual may vary, we sit together for a open exchange.
"We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate." —Pico Iyer
